Welcome Conner Childs!
The lab wants to welcome Conner Childs. He is joining the Cambronne lab as a Undergraduate Research Assistant. He is on track to obtain a B.S. Biochemistry degree at the University of Texas at Austin.

The Lab Presents at the 2026 FASEB NAD Metabolism and Signaling Meeting!
The lab's trainees were out in full force at the 2026 FASEB NAD Metabolism and Signaling Meeting in Melbourne, Florida, sharing their work alongside the field's leading researchers. Hsin-Ru gave a short talk on her latest work, "Loss of NAD⁺ Uptake is a Distinct Mitochondrial Stress Resulting in Dependency on De Novo Serine Biosynthesis." Lulu speaks at the 3rd Texas Chemical Biology Conference!
Lulu presented the lab's work on "Localized Realtime Biosensors for Metabolism" at the 2026 Texas Chemical Biology Conference at UT Dallas. She spoke in the conference's imaging-focused session, sharing how we build genetically encoded biosensors to measure metabolites spatially and temporally in single cells.

Tamima is Graduating!
After two years as a undergraduate researcher in the lab, she's headed to McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston for her MD. We're proud of everything she's accomplished and wish her the best on her future endeavors!

Shivansh's last day
April 17th was Shivansh's last day in the lab. He is off to start his postdoc fellowship with David Baker at the University of Washington. We're going to miss him and wish him best of luck!

Tamima presented her poster "Machine Learning-assisted Directed Evolution of Single Fluorescent Protein Biosensors" at the University of Texas Undergraduate research forum. The lab was there to support! Way to go Tamima!

A Farewell dinner for Shivansh

Hsin-Ru presented her work in a talk on her ongoing research "Mitochondrial NAD⁺ uptake governs de novo serine biosynthesis". Vanna and Scott both presented posters on their own projects as well. Way to go guys!

We are hiring for 2 funded postdoctoral fellow positions.
Postdoctoral Fellow Position 1 - Postdoctoral researcher with expertise in cancer cell metabolism and blood cancers . Ideal candidates will have experience in genetic mouse models, cytometry, cell culture, and metabolic analyses. The project uniquely provides the researcher with the first-chance characterization of novel animal models and use of novel metabolic genetically encoded biosensors . The researcher will further benefit from collaborative mentorship with researchers
